How our Observation and Planning works

Daily individual child observations are carried out by all key people. (These are very helpful to indentify and support additional needs)

Individual learning plans (target sheet) and developmental records are drawn up for each child by their key person. This information is then passed on to lead members of staff.

All lead staff then use these observations and targets sheets to inform their future planning. Activities and learning opportunities can be based around a monthly topic, these are evaluated monthly.

Yearly reports for three and four year olds are sent out in July. Parents evening is also offered to parents of all children.

This cycle is evaluated termly by the manager and deputy. This ensures that the needs of every individual child are being covered. Any new equipment that is needed is also ordered.
