Non- collection of children
In the event that a child is not collected by an authorised adult at the end of
a session/day, the setting puts into practice agreed procedures. These ensure that
the child is cared for safely by an experienced and qualified practitioner, who
is known to the child. If the child is not collected by an authorised adult we ensure
that the child receives a high standard of care in order to cause as little stress
as possible. We inform parents of the procedures so that, if they are delayed they
will be reassured that their child will be properly cared for.
Late collection
If the child has not been picked up after 15 minutes of their collection time then
there may be a charge of £5.00.
Information for Parents
Within the nursery there is a parents notice board as well as an ‘Important Information’ display on the foyer door displaying any recent news we feel would be beneficial to the parents. Parents will also receive a newsletter every six weeks or so. Communication books are also filled out on a daily basis for both our baby room and tots room children, so that the parents are aware of exactly what they have done during their time with us. The daily routine of the children in the Pre-school room is shared both verbally and through a whiteboard displayed on the play room door.
All children at Park Hill have their own individual key books where confidential information can be stored and shared with parents on a daily basis as well. All children also have an appointed key person who then puts together a file of all their achievements and memories. Confidential information may need to be shared between the manager and the child’s key person.
At Park Hill we encourage all parents to read and sign our policies and procedures which are kept in their own folder. The folder is easily accessible and parents are welcome to take them home and read through them whenever they wish.
At Park Hill we have an opened door policy where parents are welcome to come and have a chat to the manager or either deputy whenever they need to.
